First pink toilets in Raipur at the Shastri & Pandri textile market

The two busiest markets in the state capital, Shastri Market and Pandri Textile Market, got the city’s first pink toilets. The Governor of Chhattisgarh, Anusuiya Uikey, inaugurated the modern “Pink Care” women’s and children’s health center built by Raipur Smart City Limited late on Saturday.

Addressing the rally, the governor said residents visit these markets every day in Raipur. Considering the needs of women, Raipur Smart City Limited constructed a separate Pink Care building for women for a toilet and daycare in overcrowded areas. “This initiative is commendable. The mayor of Raipur, Eijaz Dhebar, and the commissioner of the municipal company of Raipur, Saurav Kumar, deserve our congratulations for this work. Raipur is developing rapidly and the facilities are provided accordingly by the Raipur Municipal Corporation, ”she said.
She added, “The Pandri textile market is not only famous in the state, but across the country. I commend the traders here for their kind help to Raipur Municipal Corporation.

Officials said four women’s toilets were built in the Pink Care Center in Shastri Bazaar at a cost of around Rs18.30 lakh. Apart from this, a separate room was built for infant feeding. For the convenience of women, a sanitary napkin dispenser and hot water geyser have been installed in the center. LED screens have also been installed for visitors. Likewise, there are five women’s toilets in the Pink Care Center, built at a cost of around Rs19.40 lakh in the Pandri Tissue Market. The center also has a separate room for feeding babies, a sanitary napkin dispenser for the toilets and a geyser for hot water and an LED TV.

Minister of Women and Child Development Anila Bhediya, MP Kuldeep Juneja, RMC President Pramod Dubey, Parshad Anwar Hussain as well as other public and official representatives were present on the occasion.
